ESoM Jazz Band

Musicians of all ages are invited to participate in the ESoM Jazz Band, a unique program designed to teach music fundamentals in a big band format. Students who have played saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, guitar and drums for at least two years can sign up for a weekly session beginning on Wednesday, February 5 from 7 to 8:30 PM at Encinitas School of Music, 775 Orpheus Ave.

Using jazz style, a truly American musical tradition, the program will include music from the big band era as well as contemporary jazz-rock sounds. Students will be trained to work in an ensemble situation, learning to play as a group. There will be clinics and performances throughout the year with the ultimate goal: to have fun making music!

The fee is $10.00 a week or $40.00 monthly. To sign-up for the Jazz Band or for more information call director Ron Ebel at (19) 846-1063 or email to [email protected].
